GENERAL CHAPTER INFORMATION

The Chapter is a sub-division of the Lodge.  In the Great Salt Lake Council, each district has it's own chapter.  A chapter has youth officers and advisers to carry out of organization of the Chapter.  Chapters generally meet at the same time and place and the Scoutmaster Roundtable so that the youth can get rides to the meeting with their Unit Leader.

Chapters carry out service projects, leadership training, and fellowship events for their members.  They are formed for the purpose of carrying out the lodge program and are subject to the Lodge Officers in their direction.  Some support food banks, work for community service projects, and the like.

Chapters carry out Unit Elections, perform ceremonies for units and do other service.  Because a member's first responsibility is to his unit, his involvement in a chapter can fit in with all of the other activities in his life.  If he has the time he might be there every event, but if he misses a few, his participation when he is with them is just as welcome.

Chapter contacts and meeting times can be determined from the Chapter Directory
