HOLDING UNIT ELECTIONS

If your unit wants to hold an election, you can do it one of two ways.

1.  If you are a member of the OA and want to do it yourself, check out the membership requirements, down load an election form and a copy of instructions for holding an election and go ahead and do it.  We have a short video (about 12 minutes) on DVD for use during the process.  If you want to get a copy of it, contact your chapter adviser.  It will make the process easier and gives a great explanation to the members of the unit.  Make sure that after the election is completed you send a copy of the completed form to the lodge.  If you fill it out online, you can save it to a file and email it to the lodge adviser, otherwise print it off and mail it (or drop it off) at any of the Scout Offices.

2.  The second way is to contact your chapter adviser or chief and ask them to send out a team to do the election.  They will be happy to to that if you give them at least a couple of dates to schedule.  They will bring all of the necessary forms etc.  The only thing that you have to provide is a TV and Video to show the DVD to your youth.

3.  You can get the current contact information for your district from the Chapter Directory in the Members section of the web page.
