VIGIL RENDEZVOUS:

The Vigil Honor is presented each year to Arrowmen who have:

1.  Been Brotherhood for at least 2 years after they qualified for Brotherhood, and

2.  Have made a distinguished contribution to Scouting, a Scout camp, the Order of the Arrow, or the community.

The Lodge only has a limited number to present each year by National criteria.  A Vigil Committee meets at the end of each year to consider all those who are eligible in so far as the time requirement.  They then look to the service of each person.  Youth nominees must comprise at least 50% of the class and they are decided first, then adult nominees are decided.

A Vigil Rendezvous is held each year to induct the class and for a fellowship for prior Vigils.  Prior Vigils can register for it through the registration pages.  In the event that any of the Lodge member wish to specifically recommend someone for Vigil they can do so by contacting the Vigil Chief (Lodge Directory) or the Vigil Adviser (Lodge Directory).  No specific form is needed.  Emphasis in the nomination should be on the service, over and above the duties of the nominee, that has been rendered by the nominee.

Vigils are recognized with a Brotherhood Sash to which has been added a red triangle with 3 arrows on it in the center of the sash on the arrow.
